New Director of the Thoroughbred Chorus

Andrew 'Drew' Wheaton

Drew Wheaton is a graduate of McGill University in Music Theory and is now on his second year in the Music Education program at the University of Louisville. He has been singing barbershop since birth, officially being a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society for the last 17 years. Over those years he has sung with various quartets in the Northeastern District and now in the Johnny Appleseed and Cardinal Districts. In July 2011 The Franchise www.TheFranchiseQT.com , the quartet in which Drew sings tenor, placed 18th at the International Barbershop Quartet contest, and in October of that year they won the Johnny Appleseed District championship.
Drew also runs a learning track recording business, which you can find at www.akwrecording.com .
Through barbershop Drew met his lovely wife, Kristina.
He is very excited to be joining the Louisville Thoroughbred Chorus family as their director and is looking forward to the adventure to come.

We are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in singing barbershop harmony, and we are always looking for men of good character who are good singers to join our ranks. The chorus rehearses regularly on Monday nights at 7:00 p.m. at our own hall located in historic Jeffersontown at 10609 Watterson Trail.
